something i cooked up in some spare time... if comments are disabled, it simply dosn't show the comments area (or if the commentING is disabled, it shows up but simply dosnt show that its disabled)
Its set to collapse (col() ) after the script block is injected, but if you want you can change the line [ '} col();' + ] to [ '}'+ ] and it wont collapse on start.
if the file dosnt load right, heres the link for my main site -> [link]
hope ya'll enjoy!
Coming soon: Shrink the Depths. Small subbars are better.
Should work for opera too.. havnt tested it there.
[b]EDIT: if you get it from the download link, you HAVE to save and THEN open. that simple.
Not a bad idea for a script. However, if you wanted to have the comments showing by default, you wouldn't actually need this script at all, would you?
I made a version of my own that you can use. It hides the comments and contains a 'Show Comments' link that hides itself after you click it. This script also includes the /view/ URL include as mentioned in the first comment by =rotane.
Download my version at [link] and feel free to use it as you wish and suggest changes.
nice! I like it I like it! but the advantage to mine was that you could expand and collapse the comments at will (say there was a nasty comment or somethin you wanted to hide for the moment)
As a hint: you might wanna add the following line to included pages: http://*.deviantart.com/view/*
There are still some links and extensions around that use this pre-v5 legacy /view/ instead of /deviation/
